| CS - Colt Starting - for unstarted, or restarting problem horses. Students learn under the hands on help from Peter. |
|
| FH - Foundation Horsemanship - Learn the basics of horsemanship groundwork and riding, great whether horse or rider are just beginning or inexperienced. |
|
| H1 - Horsemanship 1- Build on the basics of beginner horsemanship, no groundwork involved. |
|
| H2 - Horsemanship 2 - For more advanced riders and horses, flying lead changes, lateral exercises, more refined movements. |
|
| H3 - Horsemanship 3 - Advanced and specialized classes which include jumping, dressage, bridle horses. |
|
| CW - Cow Working - Working with cattle the traditional ways of sorting, driving and working on show related cutting and penning. |
|
| RR - Ranch Roping - Learn the traditional loops and ways of handling cattle in real ranch situations. |

General Class
Information
Colt Starting -- if you are
in the colt starting class you need a flag, halter with 12 ft lead rope,
riding boots, saddle, saddle pad, snaffle bit(egg butt or d ring) and
either a mecate or split reins.
All Horsemanship Classes -- you need to
bring your flag, have your horse either in a plain snaffle(eggbutt
or d ring), or a hackamore, or a two rein, or a full bridle. Be
sure you have leather soled riding boots with a heel - no tennis
shoes allowed.
Cow working - Be sure to bring your flag,
and if you ride with spurs be sure to have them handy. And all the
requirements listed in the Horsemanship classes.
Ranch Roping - Bring a 45 or 60 ft ranch
rope (triple soft) with either a metal honda or rawhide honda. It is
also suggested to have a rope with a break away honda on it as well.
Please bring your own ranch roping dummy! All requirements listed
in the horsemanship class is included for this class. It is
suggested you bring spurs and carry some kind of pocket knife as
well.
